Scope: full clean-out of the 1,385 sq ft crawl space, including removal and haul-away of the old ground cover, the existing floor insulation, debris and trash; removal of the existing floor insulation from the joist bays (included at no charge); installation of new R-19 faced batt insulation between the 1,385 sq ft of floor joists; installation of a new white 10 mil vapor barrier over the 1,385 sq ft crawl space floor — ground only, not up the walls — lapped and secured; supply and installation of an AprilAire E100 dehumidifier with its condensation pump; a dedicated GFI outlet on its own breaker for the dehumidifier, licensed electrician with permit and inspection included; and sealing the crawl space vents from the inside.
Notes: the work is under the floor — nothing comes up through your floors for the insulation or the vapor barrier. Jobsite will be left clean once completed. The crawl space is not a storage area during the work — please remove anything you keep down there before we start. Contractor is not responsible for damage caused inside the home while working in the crawl space.
Warranty: 12 months workmanship on the work performed; 5 years on the dehumidifier; the vapor barrier and insulation system is guaranteed against failure of our installation.
Not included: any repair or replacement of the flexible HVAC ductwork in the crawl space; no vapor barrier up the foundation walls and no encapsulation; no drainage or exterior waterproofing work — no trench drain, no sump pump, no discharge line, no french drain, no exterior grading; no structural repair (no joist, sill, pier, beam or subfloor repair); no mold or fungus treatment; no electrical work; no plumbing repair; no permits; any work not listed in the scope above.
